Is the plot built entirely built around cheap puns? Was this game originally created as a demo project to learn how to use the engine before it took on a convoluted life of its own during a global pandemic? You be the judge! 


The play time is about 20+ hours and it has been played through to the end on both Mac and Windows. There are bugs and glitches, however. 


Questions about RPG Maker MV bugs (from testing on MacOS—I don't know if these are also problems on Windows):

1. I'd like to know why this game is so unstable on boot and what could cause an RPG Maker MV to crash 50% of the time on boot up, at the menu, or in the first scene. My guess is that it has something to do with plugins but it's strange that sometimes everything works fine. If anybody knows anything about this comments are welcome below!

2. On MacOS the game won't save or save changes to the options menu. It says "Error: EROFS: read-only file system, mkdir" It appears MacOS is not allowing the game to save to its own folder because of a permissions problem. I have the feeling this would be avoided if the user could access the app as "admin" but I don't know how to do this elegantly. Saving works on my end after deployment but not when it's downloaded from itch.io. Any insight would be appreciated!

About Android Deployment:

1. I have deployed an older version to android, which "works". Unfortunately when it's deployed to android, unlike other platforms, the engine deletes the music files from the deployed project. I then added these back in (as .m4a because apparently android won't run .ogg.). Doing this results in half the music not playing, even if it is there in the folder. This is not ideal so I have not released this publicly on android. I suspect RGP Maker MV's android compatibility is pretty bad and just getting this far was a major hassle using Android Studio. If anybody has figured out a simple way to deploy RPG Maker MV games on Android with music intact, I'd appreciate comments on this as well. Thank you!
